Portable angle measurement system

The LaserAce® Encoder system is a rugged and portable high precision electro – optical angle measuring instrument which directly connects to the LaserAce® 300 family of instruments (ForestAce® 300 and BurdenAce®).

The LaserAce® Encoder is used where higher accuracy horizontal angle measurements are required or where magnetic interference rules out the use of the fluxgate compass. The LaserAce® Encoder is mounted on a monopod or a lightweight tripod as shown.

A special ‘hot shoe’ arrangement enables ‘cableless’ mounting of the LaserAce® 300 to the Encoder.

Powered by 6 x AA cells housed in the Encoder battery tube, the Encoder mimics the Fluxgate compass data allowing seamless interface of the horizontal angle data to the LaserAce® 300. The Encoder is switched on or off and reference set via the LaserAce®, so avoiding unnecessary duplication of buttons and switches. A zero reference button is the only external control on the Encoder.

The system is supplied in a briefcase sized transit case and monopod carry bag.
