AS300 Angle Sensor

CAN gravity-referenced 360-degree Module

The Trimble® AS300 Angle Sensor is a solid-state, gravity-referenced sensor delivering accurate slope measurements in a full 360 degrees range of motion. Solid-state electronics are fully potted for unmatched durability. This sensor is the right choice for stable operation in high shock environments and is suitable for externalmounting directly on machine linkages. The unit includes internal powerconditioning for 10–30 VDC input, and all the benefits of a CAN interface.

The Trimble® AS300 Angle Sensor is sealed for underwater applications to expand the Trimble GCS600's jobsite capabilities. The AS300 Angle Sensor measure the relationship between the machine's boom, stick and bucket angles and provides reach and elevation guidance of the bucket cutting edge. This gives the contractor the ability to excavate anytime-even at night or underwater-without worrying about elevation inaccuracy.

CAN Interface
The CAN system interface means “plug-and-play” integration of the AS300, enabling a truly modular system architecture where components can be interchanged on a standard harness. CAN provides high data rate transfer on dedicated signal lines, and biased equalization of EMC provides superior signal-to-noise separation for highly reliable communications.

Designed to Endure
The rugged Trimble AS300 is designed for extremes of temperature, vibration, moisture and dust that characterize the on-machine environment. The sensor uses solid-state electronics with full potting of the internal electronics to keep out moisture and dirt. The heavy gauge steel enclosure and rugged and sealed network connector are designed to take the knocks and keep on working.
