Presenter and Trainer Bios

Brendan Edge - is the Mapping & GIS Global Training Manager and has worked at Trimble Navigation since 2001. Brendon has assisted companies all over the world, in better understanding GNSS technology and the correct procedures and processes to use GNSS devices and software. Before moving into the Global Training Manager role, he had several roles including Product Management, testing as well as Support and Training. Prior to working at Trimble, Brendon completed a BSc (Hons) in Geology and Geography at Otago University.

Jason Hill -Trimble Paving and Compaction Manager Having originally trained as a surveyor, Alan is well equipped to share his extensive knowledge.

Jithen Singh is a product developer at Eagle Technology Group Ltd.

Julian Idle  is a Product Manager for Trimble's Mapping & GIS division based in Christchurch. Julian specialises in the design and engineering of Trimble's Mapping & GIS software, and has a very broad knowledge and understanding of datum's and geoid models, and the major impact they have on the accuracy and value of data collected out in the field.  He has also completed a BSc Computer & Communication Systems at the University of Greenwich.

John Grober has been involved in machine control and guidance for 8 years. His focus has been on the development and integration of machine control into construction and mining machines, including track-type tractors, motor graders, hydraulic excavators, backhoe loaders, and soil compactors. John is currently the Trimble Excavator Product Manager.

Lawrence Lewis leads the Construction team at GeoSystems and is devoted to bringing improved technology offerings to market. Lawrence brings a wealth of technology know-how combined with practical common-sense that will assist in explaining how GNSS Infrastructure Solutions will work best on your site and for your company.

Mak Matthews is a Construction Account Manager at GeoSystems and a Certified Trimble Trainer. Mak has been supplying surveying and construction equipment in New Zealand for over 10 years and has extensive knowledge of3D machine control systems and their applications.

Mark Green leads the Survey team at GeoSystems. Originally trained as a surveyor, has spent the over 20 years involved in the sales and marketing of technology to the survey community. Mark believes it's getting harder to keep up with technology as the pace seems frantic. Having attended international events such as Trimble Dimensions, Mark is keen to share the knowledge gained in his presentation.

Martin Hewitt is the Business Development Manager at GeoSystems and has been with the company for 29 years. He is a Registered Professional Surveyors and a member of the Spatial Sciences Institute. During his career he has been a practicing surveyor, GIS Consultant and business manager. He is passionate about assisting companies make the most of the spatial technology they own and leveraging the benefits of the information created throughout the organization and the wider community.

Mark Peters is a Survey Account Managers at GeoSystems and a Certified Trimble Trainer. Mark has over 5 years of experience in Surveyor training industry and currently runs GeoSystems’ STMS and Traffic Controller courses.

Maurice Perwick -Eliot Sinclair & Partners

Mike Henry  is a MGIS Consultant for GeoSystems and a Certified Trimble Trainer. Based out of the Wellington branch for 3 years, he runs regular training courses for Trimble mapping software and is technical support for the Field Services team.   

Paul Drummond studied at the University of Canterbury attaining an M.Sc in Geography focused on meteorology. Since 1999 Paul has been employed by Trimble in a variety of roles including support and training for mapping, surveying and infrastructure markets and recently spent 3 years based on Colorado with Infrastructure Sales, selling and setting up Trimble networks. In June 2009 he moved back to New Zealand and accepted a new position as the Global Integrity Management Marketing manager, working on marketing, sales and development of the GNSS networks and GNSS based monitoring business, and is also the sales manager for Trimble Infrastructure products for Australasia.

Paul Hunter is the Technical Manager at Data Collection Ltd.

Scott Campbell is a product developer at Eagle Technology Group Ltd.

Susan Jones is a GIS consultant from Eagle Technology Group Ltd.

Troy Rigby is the Mapping and GIS Australasian Regional Manager located in Brisbane Australia, for Trimble Navigation. He worked in the Information Communication and Technology industry for almost 10 years before moving into the spatial industry early last year. Troy has worked with a wide range of utilities, government departments and private businesses, assisting them to communicate accurately between business units and their customers using the latest technology.

Warren Eade leads the Field Services team at GeoSystems. Warren has worked at GeoSystems for over 5 years and has an extensive knowledge of MGIS products and the ways which they can be used to increase workflow productivity.

Will Newall is a Project Surveyor with Fletcher Higgins and will be presenting a Customer Project in Wellington.
