GeoSystems promotes new Account Manager to Wellington

23 March, 2009 – GeoSystems is pleased to announce the move of a Field Services Account Manager into the Wellington office.

This week, Mark Hagen begins his new position as Account Manager for the Lower North Island, primarily looking after Field Services’ client base. Working out of the local office in Tawa Wellington, he will oversee Trimble sales within the Mapping and GIS division.

Hagen joined GeoSystems in 2007, and over the past 2 years has become a key member of the Field Services team. Most notably he has bolstered support for the Trimble Nomad PDA as a top option for monitors working under Animal Health Board’s scheme. Hagen’s expertise, patience and commitment to technology has helped smooth the transition of many monitors from the old pen and paper tracking to the use of today’s latest technology – logging MGIS coordinates into handheld PDAs which are then uploaded into a national database for analysis.

While Hagen will continue to be a main contact for Fields Services and MGIS clients in the region, he will also be providing man-on-the-ground support to Survey clients.

“Mark is a great asset to our team and I look forward to the advances in customer service he will offer to the region,” said Warren Eade, Field Services Manager. “With his knowledge and customer-focused attitude, I am confident that his placement into the Wellington region will continue to promote GeoSystems as an excellent source of information and support for MGIS users in the Lower North Island.”

In the Christchurch office Eade will once again be the main contact for MGIS sales and support for the South Island, providing complete solutions to South Island clients operating in the Mapping and GIS field. Additionally, both Hagen and Eade will be available for Garmin and forestry product inquiries from their perspective regions. Robin Pascoe, Field Services Account Manager based out of Auckland, will continue to support North Island customers, namely those north of Taupo.
